Kuya Daniel Throws Off Birthday Concert For Children

This November 23, Kuya Daniel Razon will capture the hearts of children in a concert dubbed “In The Eyes Of A Child” at the Araneta Coliseum. The show will guest orphans, cancer patients, disabled, and itinerant children. This concert will also commemorate Kuya Daniel’s 32 years in public service.

The concert brings in world-class performers like Darren Espanto, Gwyneth Dorado, the Halili Cruz School of Ballet, and Wanlu to the concert stage, in one unforgettable night for the children who were forgotten by society.

Songs from all-time favorite Disney animated movies and other timeless, inspiring melodies with themes for children will be sung by the performers, including Kuya Daniel himself.

A key part of the concert will be the granting of cash gifts to 10 organizations invited to the show, all of which are of course keeping care of children.

Kuya Daniel Razon, True Makabata TV personality

Kuya Daniel is no stranger to advocacies that uphold the welfare of the general public. Just last year, he received Anak TV’s Makabata Award for being a child-sensitive role model on television. His home network UNTV Life is also a consistent recipient of Anak TV Awards, having earned many seals of approval for its child-friendly programming.

But more to such awards, Kuya Daniel remains committed to deliver unstinted support and service to the public. This time, he offers a concert that will benefit children housed in the country’s major orphanages and shelters.

Aside from his many public service endeavors at the present, Kuya Daniel is continuously supporting the Home for Abandoned Babies which his uncle, Bro. Eli Soriano of Members Church of God International, founded a few years ago in the Philippines. The Home for the Abandoned Babies is under the auspices of the Kamanggagawa Foundation, a non-profit organization.

UNTV Life, Child-friendly Network

As CEO for UNTV, Kuya Daniel had spearheaded the network’s annual founding gala, with one particular year dedicated for children’s welfare. That same year, UNTV promoted child-friendly programming. Among its roster of programs is the KNC Show, a Bible-based kiddie program that teaches many values and fascinating animated Bible stories, real-life skits, and educational segments.

Even after UNTV had rebranded to UNTV Life, it had retained relevant programming that are attentive and sensitive to the viewing needs of the public, especially of children.

Kids and Kids-at-Heart Perform for a Cause

As earlier mentioned, some top-rated performers were invited to entertain Kuya Daniel’s special guests on Monday night.

Darren, 14, is first runner up of the Voice Kids Philippines Season 1. His recent achievement, a live cover of Sia’s Chandelier through the Wish FM Bus, had attracted more than 5 million views on YouTube in just four months, and earned positive comments from the likes of actor Ashton Kutcher and rapper Nicki Minaj.

Darren Espanto earned fans and fame after joining the talent show The Voice Kids PH Season 1.

Gwyneth Dorado was the youngest contestant to make it to Asia’s Got Talent Season 1 Finals. She had been sharing her voice in many public appearances after her feat in AGT, one of which is in a major concert dedicated to the country’s brave soldiers and police, the Songs for Heroes 2 held last June 30.

Juancho Lunaria, better known as Wanlu, won the hearts of many with his rare talent in puppetry. He is a Talentadong Pinoy Hall of Famer for his remarkable skill in ventriloquism, a stagecraft of changing one’s voice and putting it to an inanimate puppet without the puppeteer obviously opening his mouth. Wanlu will be performing in the front act with his puppet Niccolo.

GWYNETH

At age 10, Gwyneth was the youngest contestant to have reached the finals in the talent search show Asia’s Got Talent on AXN.

The Halili Cruz School of Ballet is a multi-awarded institution offering competitive lessons in classical ballet dance. It offers its students an intense exposure to the dance both here and abroad, and provides scholarships to deserving students who excel in the art form.

Kuya Daniel’s Resounding Battlecry

In a recent interview, Kuya Daniel emphasized that the advocacies he is promoting and yearning for continuous support is part of the responsibility people have toward each other. “What we want to do is to do good while we have the opportunity to do so. Helping our fellowmen entails with it sharing what is good for them.” [So] I hope that we will see one another [in the concert] to support the children who are in need,” he said.
